Vet for a Day: An Unforgettable Experience for Kids Ages 6-12!
We are thrilled to announce our “Vet for a Day” program, designed especially for young animal enthusiasts ages 6-12! This unique, hands-on experience allows kids to dive into the world of veterinary medicine and discover what a day in the life of a veterinarian truly entails. This program is offered at both our San Jose & Sherman location in the summer. Stay tuned for upcoming dates!
Program Highlights:
Kids will learn how to shoot and read X-rays, gaining insight into how we diagnose and treat our furry patients. They’ll get hands-on experience in bandaging a patient, learning essential first aid techniques. Our future vets will get to look at samples under a microscope, exploring the tiny details that help us understand animal health. With guidance from our experienced veterinarians, children will see how to place an IV, an important skill in medical care. Participants will have the chance to meet and learn about some of our exotic animal patients, broadening their understanding of the diverse species we care for.
And that’s just the beginning! Our program is divided into small groups to ensure personalized attention and an immersive experience for each child.
